About us
Loconuts, Inc. was established in 2009 and has embraced online communities, social media, social network sites, Google, and email ever since. In fact, we are quite crazy about it. We are so crazy about it, we came up with our own name for it: interactive socialization. We feel that we can harness the power of consumers by communicating to them through various online channels that are ever growing. We are a big fan of nurturing consumer relationships by having 2-way communication with customers on various social media and communities.
We can increase customer loyalties and create word-of-mouth buzz and recommendations for your brand. We are technology agnostic and are open to all the new things that digital can throw at us. Who we are
Sidney T. Yee, President and Co-founder - Over 20 years of client side and agency experience. His client experience includes advertising, digital, e-commerce, information technology, media, multicultural and segmentation business solutions.
As an agency executive, Sid led the five year progressive growth (2004- 2009) of New-A, the parent company for five separate agencies that provided event, database, digital, language and multicultural consultation services. During his leadership, Sid was the chief executive, strategist and architect in the creation and cultivation of 22 new client relationships. Some key client acquisitions for his five agencies included: AIG, Citibank, Courvoisier, DirecTV, Genentech, ING, Kraft, Mass Mutual, Miller, McDonald’s, Nationwide, P&G, P&G Pharmaceuticals, Verizon and Western Union. Today, he leads New-A's new business model to integrate social good solutions for brands targeting the general market consumer.
With his newest venture - Loconuts (launched in 2009), Sid will bring his "proof over theory" business model to clients looking for digital solutions and products that creates "interactive socialization". Above that, he is proud to lead an empowered digital team of talents that think big and delivers even bigger.
Jay Kim, Managing Director - Over 12 years of interactive and online marketing experience with IMG Media, Direct Partners Agency, and most recently, OpenCircle. Have lead production team to build TigerWoods.com, Patriots.com, Tennis.com, PlayStation Gamer Advisory Panel and Loyalty Program, and Bowflex Owner’s Club. Large scale email marketing experience that have shown results and expert in online community with working on 3 large loyalty community site. Also doing various strategy with Online marketing consulting for EA Mobile and Donsuemor. Originally was a Biochemist working on HIV & Lyme disease before going over to online sports marketing which is why measurement and comparison analysis are most important part to him.
Jason Monma, Senior Web Developer - Lead developer on projects ranging from high profile, high traffic sites to complex intranets and applications, Jason is truly a geek at heart. His excitement over technology fuels his drive to stay at the forefront of online media. He believes in balancing new technology with proven tools and methodologies in order to achieve the goals of the project as effectively and efficiently as possible.
Aileen S. Liao, Project Manager - Over 6 years of experience in advertising of planning and servicing for multinationals Dentsu, Young & Rubicam, Leo Burnett and McCann Erickson in Asia, joined the Admerasia multicultural agency in the U.S. for 3 years. Always eager to expand her horizons, she has embraced digital marketing besides a solid understanding and practice in traditional advertising. Throughout her career, Aileen worked with Coca-Cola, Microsoft, P&G, Citibank, etc. She formalized her digital and new media education for with a M.A. degree in Media Studies at the New School in New York.
Marketing is essentially a highly creative work, if you listen closely to Aileen, she can certainly make you believe that truism all the time. Besides her role with Loconuts as project manager, Aileen has put her all-round experience and creativity to good use with her pursuit in film, music and writing.
Sonia Wilcox, Digital Art Director - An Art Director whose been working in graphic design and advertising for the past eleven years. Focusing on all things digital, web site designs, rich media advertising, interactive tools, email campaigns and Smart Phone apps. Her career has allowed her to work on a range of projects. She has had opportunities to work on projects for companies such as, PBS, Pfizer, and IBM.
Sonia’s fine art foundation is the base for her esthetic sensibilities. This coupled with honed software skills, enables her to create work that have a solid foundation in concept and executed elegantly.
